PREDICTORS LEAGUES RULES AND REGULATIONS

Premiership Manager  2008 – 2009

As previous years the main competition is in the format of Leagues with 2 other competitions to enter all for £7 per team entry for previous season teams but ONLY £10 for 2 TEAMS (where one team is from a new manager this year).  £5 for Students as usual.

This year I am donating £1 for every team that enters to the most popular charities identified by you.

 The Premiership Managers Leagues Season 2008A and Season 2008B:

1.       Name your Team Previous entrants please keep your original team name for ease of identification for your competitors

2.       Complete a contact e-mail address

3.       Complete a contact address

4.       Telephone and Mobile number (this may be needed for Cup competitions etc)

5.       A little about you and the team you support (to get your club colours!)

6.       You will receive the results selected by all the other teams in the leagues for each month and on a month-by-month basis.

7.       You may change future scores providing they are outside of the current month being played

8.       Changes to scores may be made up to the month prior to the scheduled matches but NOT during the current month of play. Sorry but changes to scores can only be accepted by e-mail or post! N.B. There is no charge for changes to your scores.

9.       Points are scored 3 points for a correct score 1 point for a correct result.

10.    Goal Difference will count if points scored are the same. This will always be a minus figure the lower the figure the more accurate your scores are to the actual result

a.       Example 1: You select 1-1 and the actual result is 2-2 you will receive a goal difference score of –2 but get 1 point for the correct result (a draw)

b.       Example 2: You select 2-1 and the actual result is 3-1 you will receive a goal difference score of –1 but get 1 point for the correct result (a home win)

c.        Example 3: You select 3-1 and the actual result is 1-3 you will receive a goal difference score of –4 and get 0 points for the incorrect result

d.       Example 4: You select 1-0 and the actual result is 1-0 you will receive a goal difference of 0 and get 3 points for the correct score.

11.    Complete your predicted scores for the 2 seasons of 56 matches in 2008A and 52 in 2008B for the matches selected for each year (remember some dates may be moved because of cup clashes but the result you give will still count in the month the match is played)

12.    NOTE December fixtures and Season 2008A finishes up to and including 31st December 2008 when all relegation and champions will be decided for that Season

13.    NOTE Season 2008B will start from 1st January 2008 with the remaining 52 matches

14.    All scores for August must be received before 11th August 2008 (First Premiership Matches Played) the remaining scores and all entry fees must be received by 31st August 2008

15.    Each League Winner will receive prizes (based on total funds received for the season)

16.    Manager of the Month – Highest points on current form will also gain a prize each month

17.    League Placing – Will be based on previous seasons and Cup competition performances

18.    New Teams – Will automatically start in the lowest League

19.    Promotion and Relegation – Take place at the end of December 2008 and May 2009

20. Top Scorer  - to be received by 31st August 2008

a.       Select the player that you believe will be the top scorer for the Premiership in 2008 – 2009.

b.       Premiership League Goals only count not cup competitions etc.

c.        Share of the prize or outright prize

21.    F A Cup 2008-2009

a.       F A Cup weeks will include a selection of predictions to be made. Once all the teams have entered there will be a Head to Head competition (on the same basis as the Predictor Leagues). This will normally start with the 4th Round in January depending on the number of teams entering

b.       The ‘draw’ for the competition will be made and you will be contacted for your predicted scores for the F A Cup fixtures selected. The competition will be run on the same basis as the World Cup 2006 and Euro 2008

22. Remember to return:

- Completed scores for all 108 fixtures for the two seasons

- Complete some details about yourself, team name and club you support

- Select your Top Scorer

- Ensure you enter a contact telephone number and also your contact details e-mail   address and/or post address
